Lip Lover

I have to admit that I am not usually one to be drawn to Lancome products; I've always thought that they were on the 'older ladies' scale of the high end makeup and skin care brand. However, this little beauty appeared in my christmas stocking (courtesy of my mother) and I think I may have fallen in love slightly. It is called the Lip Lover set and contains three lip glosses in the shades 'Rose Attrape-Coer' (a pretty peachy pink colour), 'Lip Lover' (a mid-tone rosey pink) and 'Framboise Etoile' (a pink toned red). These glosses are a hybrid of a lip balm, lip gloss and lipstick and I have to say that they really do step up to those claims.

When on your lips, these lipglosses feel really smooth and nourishing and not too sticky like some others out there so they feel comfortable to wear on a daily basis. Although I love this time of year, chapped lips seems to be an issue for me however these smooth out my lips with no trouble whatsoever - it's almost like these can photoshop your lips haha...

The colour pay off is really nice for a lipgloss, it's not opaque like a lip lacquer however they are very pigmented and are noticeable on the lips. The double-sided applicator also makes it very easy to apply and dispenses the right amount of product, and the pointed tip makes it easy to to get into the hard-to-reach areas without causing any mess or a need for a lip brush.

Overall I am super impressed with these lovely little lipglosses. a full size of one these will set you back £18 which does seem like rather a lot, however for a high end product which does everything you need a lipgloss to do, I think it's actually quite reasonable and I will definitely be purchasing a full size when mine run out.
What do you guys think?
E x
